HDPE geomembrane sheet suppliers in Al Ain

HDPE geomembrane and pond liner supply across Al Ain — farm reservoirs, date-palm irrigation storage and evaporation control, in the part of the country where stored water matters most.

Al Ain is the agricultural heart of the country, and agriculture here runs on stored water. Farms across the Eastern Region, out towards Remah, Sweihan and the Omani border, depend on reservoirs and ponds fed by wells or tankered supply — and on gravelly, permeable ground an unlined basin quietly loses a large share of everything put into it.

The economics are usually the easiest of any lining project to justify. Estimate the loss, multiply by the cost of the water, and compare with the lining. On a working farm reservoir the answer is generally that lining pays back in a small number of seasons and then keeps paying.

Work we see most in Al Ain

  • Farm irrigation reservoirs — typically 1.0–1.5 mm HDPE with a cushion layer, since Al Ain subgrades are usually gravelly rather than clean sand.
  • Date-palm and fodder farm storage across the Eastern Region and the Remah and Sweihan areas.
  • Evaporation control — floating covers and shade over open storage, where summer losses are as significant as seepage ever was.
  • Livestock and camel farm water storage.
  • Landscape and municipal water features in and around the city.

What we supply and install in Al Ain

The full range is available here: HDPE geomembrane liner sheet in every stock gauge, installation and welding with a trained welding crew, and the cushion geotextile that goes underneath. Whether you take sheet only or hand over the whole basin, the material and the QC procedure are the same.

If you are still deciding on a gauge, the thickness and roll size page sets out how thickness is chosen, and the price guide explains what drives a quotation up or down.

Al Ain questions

Will lining a farm reservoir actually pay for itself?

On permeable ground, almost always. The way to check is to measure the drop in level over a few still days with no abstraction and compare it with the expected evaporation rate — the difference is seepage, and that is what lining recovers.

Can you reduce evaporation as well as seepage?

Lining stops seepage only. For evaporation you need a floating cover, a shade structure, or surface elements. We can price a cover with the lining — see reservoir and tank lining.

Do you work out towards Remah and Sweihan?

Yes. Farms across the Eastern Region are within normal working range; distance shows up in the mobilisation line, and combining nearby basins into one visit reduces it.
